Early evening visit, and this little pub is quite crowded. The drinkers are exclusively male I notice.

Ray and I came in here when I spotted an old friend propping up the bar as we were passing. Apparently there are usually two or three real ales available; just one tonight. My first visit I think since the pub’s days as the Old Blue Anchor and I liked the atmosphere here.

Redemption - Trinity3.00ExcellentFull-flavoured, low-strength beer in sparkling form.

The pub is found in Whitechapel, Greater London, E1 1DT.

This pub was present as the Blue Anchor by 1754 and the fancily stuccoed frontage of the current building dates from around 1860. Formerly tied to the nearby Charrington’s Brewery, the pub had become known as the Old Blue Anchor by the 1930s. In 1999 the pub celebrated its independence by changing the name to Indo. It is a small pub, with quite a bohemian vibe.

We have visited this pub twice, seen 4 different beers and tried 2 of them.
