Part three of a four-part brewery crawl. Strawman is a semi-secret operation and very small scale. Some sort of music event is taking place next door and we have to get past security to approach the brewery and get the chance to drink from un-labelled bottles.

The pub is found in Hackney, Greater London, E8 3QW.

Strawman is a very small-scale Hackney brewery, established in 2013. The brewery produces bottled beers in a small part of a railway arch between London Fields and Hackney Downs stations and shares its immediate surroundings with an eclectic mix of artists, musicians and fashion designers at Emigré Studios. Saison, amber and pale-style beers are produced, on a tiny kit. Promotion is by word-of-mouth and sales primarily to visitors to the brewery, although Kris Wines and a few other shops take bottles. There are plans to increase the scale of production.

We have visited this pub once, seen 2 different beers and tried both.
