Evening. Had it in mind to find this newish real ale venue but had it in my mind's eye it was in the lower High Street area. Was only when Pete from Westgate's Bake & Alehouse (who was having a night off and a pre-Broadstairs Folk Festival Ukelele Orchestra recital drink here) called out to me from across the road that I found it. Friendly family service at the bar.

The pub is found in Broadstairs, Kent, CT10 1JJ.

Located in High Street towards the top end as it levels out opposite the Council Offices. On initial glance could be mistaken for a 2 storey bay windowed detached house with red overlapping tiled frontage. Operates as a café during the day for breakfasts and lunches in a medium sized single room on the ground floor. From summer 2013 the venue decided to major on becoming a real ale and cider bar during the evenings. Cask stillage is in the left hand corner with some cider boxes too. Apparently also now serves food in the evening too if requested. Unisex toilet at rear. Pictures of Frank Sinatra and the Rat Pack inevitably adorn the walls.

We have visited this pub once, seen 2 different beers and tried 1 of them.
