Late evening visit really to snoop at the changes since the latest refurbishment. With handpumps down from 3 to just 1 and only Doom Bar showing it was time for a half of Draught Guinness then an even quicker skedaddle.

Evening. Pleasantly surprised as it was quiet and rather demure inside compared to the frenetic place I sometimes pass at weekends.

Fuller's (part of Asahi Europe) - London Pride4.10ExcellentOdd, strange - had and still has me bemused. A lovely bitter taste but none of the usual London Pride floral nose nor floral hoppy sweetish taste. Almost as if it was a stronger Chiswick bitter. Hmmmmmmhhhhh!
Sharp's - Doom Bar4.00Not TriedUsually on but clip turned round tonight

The pub is found in Blackheath, Greater London, SE3 0BH.

Located on the wide high pavement side of Tranquil Vale. Originally the Three Tuns and the hanging sign outside still shows the tuns pictorially. Was in the first CAMRA 1974 Good Beer Guide then selling Charrington IPA. The description in that guide said "Loads of character, though not of a sort which is to everyone's taste. Unlimited noise." Not much change there! Often very busy and employs security door staff at times. Furnished with a mixture of tables and chairs and padded bench seats. Long bar counter along the right hand side wall has 1 handpump. Small courtyard rear garden. Bar is bare floor-boarded throughout. Regular live music. TV sport shown.

We have visited this pub twice, seen 2 different beers and tried 1 of them.
