I liked the tiling on the walls, but the pub was packed with standing room only so I moved on after a half pint.

Early evening and very busy. But it’s a sultry sort of evening and most are standing outside, leaving me with the chance to lean beside a little ledge inside.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Southwark - Routemaster Red (superseded by 4.2% version)3.80AcceptableRed in name, in colour and in flavour – although not as red as a Routemaster.
Sharp's - Doom Bar4.00Not Tried

I nip on ahead of the Truman’s brewery history walk to get my pint in here ahead of the rush and I never see them again – I think they went off to look at something in Itchy Park. It’s very busy here, loud inside and packed out on the pavement at around 9pm.
BeerABVScoreNotes
London Fields - Love Not War4.20ExcellentSpicy, reddish ale on very good form here.

Evening. Amazingly busy still at this time of night but so were all the other local pubs I passed by. Pub visited as had been told it was selling new Truman's brews.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Big Penny (formerly Truman's) as of late 2022 contract brewed - Swift3.90ExcellentA mellow golden ale packed with hops to leave lingering bitterness on lips and mouthfeel
Big Penny (formerly Truman's) as of late 2022 contract brewed - Runner4.00GoodDarker and more intensely malty than I expected for a true London bitter. £3.95 pp hurts of course
Eagle (formerly Wells & Young's, formerly Charles Wells, formerly Wells) - Bombardier (was Bombardier Glorious English) (use Eagle entry now please)4.10Not Tried
