Late-afternoon, before any crowding.

Tiny Rebel - Here Gose Nuthin'8.00ExcellentFrom a keg and pretty outrageous. Imperial Blackcurrant Pastry Gose. The beer world has gone mad.

I don’t know why I keep forgetting this decent pub when I’m in the area, and it’s pleasing to see it now in the GBG. A good CAMRA discount on the cask beers, but I manage to misunderstand the pricing policy and am severely stung for the import.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Tyne Bank - Admiral Pale3.80GoodA golden beer with a slight haze. Smooth, balanced and easy drinking with a pronounced resinous bitterness (from British Admiral hops presumably) in the finish.
Yeastie Boys - Digital IPA5.70GoodOn keg dispense. Very fruity (mango?) hop tastes.

Busy and loud in the early evening. Significant CAMRA discount still available on the cask beers.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Truefitt - Erimus Pale Ale3.90AcceptableGolden, hoppy and citric. Hops a bit harsh I though and could do with a bit more body.

Early evening and there is a good crowd in. Music a little louder than was strictly necessary I thought, but overall a good atmosphere. And you cannot grumble at £3 a pint in the City.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Late Knights - Morning Glory4.40GoodA decent, chestnut-coloured, best bitter. Served a touch too cold here.

The pub is found in City, Central London, EC3N 4AX.

A pub called the Assembly first opened at this address by Tower Hill in 2002, run by the Lewis & Clarke chain. In July 2013 the pub was re-launched as part of the growing Draft House chain. The wilful misspelling of ‘Draught’ in the pub's name gives a hint that there is an American influence to this pub, and it is indeed quite big and brash, with neon and burgers. Good beer too though. 50p per pint cask ale discount for card carrying CAMRA members.

We have visited this pub 4 times, seen 14 different beers and tried 5 of them.
