About The Ship

The pub sign. The Ship, Plumstead, Greater London

The pub is found in Plumstead, Greater London, SE18 2UJ.

Large street corner pub once a Beasley's house then in the Courage empire. It overlooks Plumstead Common by The Links. Has had a variety of reincarnations and periods of closure over the years. Now seems settled as an airy bright sports bar. Bright colours inside and a substantial floor area concentrates on 2 pool tables. Multiple TV screens for sports. Minimum spend when major TV sports events are showing. Traditionally this pub is one of the 5 Plumstead Common Idlers - in this case the Ship that had never sailed the sea. No real ale and no handpumps.

We have visited this pub once, seen 0 different beers and tried them all.
