My friend Dave R likes this pub because “they only sell normal beers” – he knew full well that I would be suffering hop withdrawal symptoms within minutes. Whilst we were here a lady very gracefully fell off her stool, causing no damage to either herself or her surroundings.

The pub is found in Islington, Central London, EC1V 4NJ.

Rather shabby but comfortable and friendly. Long single bar pub, with sports screens and the unusual feature of a small box office in the corner for the upstairs theatre.

We have visited this pub twice, seen 5 different beers and tried 4 of them.
