19:15 Having just enjoyed a carol service at the Cathedral I was aiming for a drink in the Ribs but it was rammed. I had only been in the Mischief once before but as it was just across the bridge I thought I'd give it a go. A blackboard outside lists the cask ales and states "we are not a real ale pub but we do serve real ale". The level of the music and the other clientele made my wife and I realise we were about 40 years too old for the place. Other refugees of a similar age from the Ribs came in and seemed equally out of place.
