Post match swift one. Fulham 7 Luton 0. Fulham are Championship champions. Not many people in here considering. Other beers on, too excited to note them!

Early lunchtime visit. Starting to fill with diners. Lots of poppies, medals and regimental ties on display.

Post match meal. Not too busy inside but the riverside pavement was three or four deep stretching a good way along. Warm and sunny still.

Lunchtime, final day of the Premiership. Fulham at home but noisy neighbours (Crystal Palace) were spoiling the ambience by 1300. Prices in this gem of a Thames riverside pub are very steep now, especially when plastic 'glasses' are the norm when it's busy.

Early evening before a Fulham football game (about a mile from the pub) glasses before 1830 but then plastics only - not a popular move with me. I have visited this pub many times over the last 15 years or so - it can be wonderful but at times frustratingly slow service and is quite pricy - even for a London pub. Always a good selection of beer - although tonight only Young's - first time that I can recall no alternatives.

The pub is found in Putney, Greater London, SW15 1JN.

Very large riverside pub close to Putney Bridge and the start of the boat race. Restaurant with views over the Thames - large bar area, separate cellar bar and a few outside tables and unofficial drinking on a warm summer's weekend stretches 10s of yards along the embankment. This pub can get very, very busy. Another distinctive feature is the many ornate frosted glass panels throughout the bar areas.

We have visited this pub 5 times, seen 9 different beers and tried 5 of them.
