Roaring fire, dog friendly, welcoming staff and fantastic beer. Great atmosphere - very friendly. Must also recommend the great food -cooked to order. Not cheap but fresh and perfectly cooked.

Banks's - Young's London Original (was Bitter) - previously brewed in Bedford and at Wychwood3.70ExcellentTight creamy head clung to glass well and served at 12 degrees in a branded glass. When informed I collect beer glasses the landlord made me a gift of a new one. Fantastic

Came for a late lunch after attending a martial arts grading session near by. It was busy with people eating. Had a cross over feel between a pub and a restaurant.

Banks's - Young's London Original (was Bitter) - previously brewed in Bedford and at Wychwood3.70ExcellentExcellent pint. Creamy but with a rounded bitterness to it and perfectly ballanced malt. When this stuff's good, it's really good.
