Thursday evening peak and absolutely packed. I remember this being a nice pub but in the days when I worked in this area it only sold mainstream keg beers so this was probably my first visit in well over forty years. Apart from the (not very) background music I really liked it. Food appears to be limited to hot pies and pickled eggs, just up my street.

Evening until 10.57pm close. Amused to see how things kicked off when the barman stentorially announced "Time" 3 minutes early then lost more than that time arguing with some men who he eventually had to refund for lost juke box money as the sound had been curtailed at the same time. Front door propped open too to chill the customers into leaving, an old trick.

Not as busy as most pubs round about here on a Thursday evening – perhaps it is just tucked away enough for people to not know it’s there.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Banks's - Sunbeam4.20AcceptableGolden. Soft mouthfeel. Citrusy. But flavours dulled by being served at too warm a temperature.
