Evening. ChrisE had called me earlier to help identify the beer in the gravity pin and this effectively sub-poenaed me to make a visit in his footsteps.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Shepherd Neame - Mash Tun No. 16.40GoodOld ale in a gravity dispensed pin. The generous taster was nearly ⅓ of a pint. Flat and slow drinking but I knew I'd had it so a generous 6.4%er. From the Shep's Twitter feed this is a beer primarily intended for this week's GBBF.

I was passing by and decided to pop in here to see if they had any unusual beers on sale, and they had.

I last came here in the early 1970s when I met up with some friends who were working nearby for Post Office Telegraphs. The pub does not appear to have changed much since then, except of course that it is now owned by Shepherd Neame instead of Courage. This visit was mid-afternoon and there were very few customers about so I was able to have a good chat with the girl behind the bar about her town of Krakow. CAMRA discount applies here.
