Doors opened at exactly 12:00 on a Sunday and the pub soon became very busy with regulars, Church goers, and Railale travellers.

Large pub set on the site of a former Co-operative store, it is handy for the railway station. There is a dining area on the first floor. The Riverhead Brewery is now owned by Ossett but still brews.
