13:15 Very busy with diners. The drinking area at the east end was however quiet.

The pub is found in Colchester, Essex, CO1 1LS.

Probably established in the 17th century, this city centre pub in Eld Lane has been called the Joiners Arms, and then for a long period the Clarence, before taking on its current name in September 2006. It is an ancient structure, but much modernised inside. Larger than one might expect from its external appearance, there is also a small garden to the rear.

We have visited this pub 5 times, seen 20 different beers and tried 5 of them.
