Very loud in here tonight with a combination of loud music and the consequent necessity for shouted conversations. Not inclined to linger in the circumstances. A house beer is also on sale.

Sharp's - Coaster (or Cornish Coaster)3.60AcceptableWhat a friend of mine (who is not a fan of hop-forward beers) would call a ‘beer-tasting beer’.

This pub has settled down now under its new ownership, with upstairs room and roof terrace brought in to use. The two large ‘Toby’ plaques that used to be inside the bar seem to have been lost in the refurbishment, which is a shame, although two smaller ones survive outside.

Timothy Taylor - Landlord4.30GoodThis beer was almost ubiquitous as a guest beer in London a couple of years ago, but now seems quite rare. This pint in very good condition.

Still smelling a bit of fresh paint and not yet fully re-decorated inside. Three guest beer handpumps are not yet in use. I’ll return once the pub has settled down a little under the new management.

Fuller's (part of Asahi Europe) - London Pride4.10GoodAbout as good as London Pride gets actually, and a brim-full measure too.

The pub is found in Aldgate, Central London, EC3N 2EX.

Formerly Hennessy's, this pub is believed to have been established as the Three Tuns in around 1700 when it was built on a former plague pit, facing the city walls. It was rebuilt in its present form in 1939 and the ground floor partitions were removed in 1956 to give the current single bar layout. Historically a Charrington’s house, the name of the pub was changed to Hennessy’s in 2003 to reflect the pub’s ownership by the Hennessy family. April 2014 saw a change of ownership, with the pub re-opening after redecoration and back under the Three Tuns name. There is a small backyard drinking area and there are plans to bring upper rooms and a roof garden back in to use.

We have visited this pub 3 times, seen 7 different beers and tried 3 of them.
