14:50 This pub was not on the plan but as it is yards from the Kings Arms it seemed rude not to include it. My first visit in over forty years. This was probably the roughest pub in town then, much improved. Tied Greene King but good guest beer policy.

Oldest pub in Hitchin, in Bucklersbury. Old coaching inn with gateway and courtyard. Closed and believed lost but re-opened with new name and a relaunch in December 2017, with a smart bar area and an upmarket restaurant.
