Wednesday afternoon after a walk along the canal towpath. We sat outside and made the most of some reasonable weather. It was nice to see the Higson's pump handles on the bar. There was a good range of beers on offer but I did not note them down.

I first came here many years ago when it was a Higson's house, I think it closed for a while, it is now operated by a local pub company. My visit was on a Thursday lunch time and I sat at the bar and conversed with staff and other customers. There was discreet background music being played but it was turned off when a customer (not me) complained about it.
