Evening - a grey, wet June day but busy and bustling in here as you expect from a ‘spoons. Surprisingly just one real ale on to start with- but a few more appeared after I had my meal. For those following my cycle journey, apologies as I have some more entries from Penrith to here that I will post as soon as I have the energy and good enough WiFi to do so. Just over 600 miles cycled from Dover so far.

12:15 Having just had a four hour journey by train from Edinburgh we came here straight from the station for lunch. Already busy. We had a Scottish Wetherpoons speciality Balmoral Chicken and very good it was too.
