Mid evening busy yet the size of the place swallows up the crowds so finding a free table wasn't an issue. I'd seen glowing YouTube reviews on JDW's beef madras upon sampling I wholly concur with, made a change from my usual pizza craving! Only non NB's listed..
BeerABVScoreNotes
Oakham - 12 Monkeys4.80ExcellentVibrant and complex tropical fruit and lemony citrus flavours, a soft mouthfeel and balanced bitterness complemented my curry perfectly.

Evening visit keeping close eye on last train times.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Wantsum - More’s Head3.70AcceptableDisappointing. Fobbed massively on pouring, first day on so seemed too fresh and hardly any depth of taste

Very busy so after a couple of minutes scouting around we pounced on a just vacated beer logged messy table and enjoyed ale and pizzas..

Late lunchtime and busy as expected for the time and location. No tables free so I propped myself at the far end of the bar. My patience was rewarded as a table became free so I grabbed it and ordered my pizza to complement my beers.

After arriving back from Tenerife so late we had to stay at a hotel at Gatwick and stopped off here for lunch on the way home by train. The beer selection was very poor and I ended up having a punk ipa with my burger.

Doing a good lunchtime food trade. All the pump clips were facing the customer so it was impossible to tell which beers were actually available. I overheard one member of staff apologising to a customer because the Doom Bar was off.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Whitstable - Safe Anchorage Mild3.80AcceptableVery different to the Goacher's Mild that I had just drunk in a nearby pub. This had a slightly sour taste and was not what I would normally expect from a Mild.

Latish evening visit after track-bashing a rail route on a diverted Southeastern train from the old Waterloo International platforms, next stop Sevenoaks then to here. Surprisingly good range of Kentish brews, clearly a manager's penchant. Visit marred by unsuccessful 8 minutes wait to be served a second pint, bar staff milling but not serving, something the Duty Manager should have been aware of and sorted.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Marston's - Bass4.40GoodCould have been any mid brown standard bitter but alas not the famous Burton snatch brew of old. Clip carried neither the true Marston's provenance nor even an abv. Enjoyed it nevertheless
