Here for a brewery visit - birthday treat from my lovely daughter. The founder and owner - Lee Hammerton - gave the rather low-key tour. All beers on retail sale were keg although cask ales are produced. Industrial-chic setting seems to be going down well with a good turnover of customers.

A proper bar area has now been developed within the brewery building and branded as the ‘Taproom’, opening on occasional weekends. Despite my early arrival this-evening, it is already busy. Nice looking pizzas are being sold and there are two cask beers on gravity dispense alongside a full Hammerton range in keg or bottle.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Atom - IPA5.60ExcellentOn gravity dispense. US-style IPA, with sharp and bitter fruity tastes.
Hammerton - N75.20GoodFrom key-keg. A golden, fruity, US Pale Ale.

Onwards to Islington for the Hammerton Brewery Open Day, on what is by now a scorching hot afternoon. My drinking companion has cried off and gone home with a shoulder injury. Big crowds here, slightly chaotic service, brewery tours and Peruvian food. One beer on cask and keg, plus three more on keg only.
BeerABVScoreNotes

The pub is found in Barnsbury, Central London, N7 8XH.

The original Hammerton Brewery existed from 1868 to the 1950s (although the name was revived briefly by Watney’s for a 1980s Porter). The name has now been resurrected by a member of the Hammerton family and brewing recommenced in 2014 in an industrial unit adjacent to Caledonian Road & Barnsbury railway station. In 2017 Hammerton Brewery opened a brewery tap nearby (The House of Hammerton) and the Tap Room operation here at the brewery ceased.

We have visited this pub 3 times, seen 8 different beers and tried 7 of them.
