Early evening - busy, good buzz, friendly. I had a quick pub crawl in Whitchurch - of the five I tried (and two I looked in) this was my favourite.

Also known as The Backies, a recent refurbishment in 2012. Lots of oak panelled walls - clearly aimed at real ale drinkers, two bar areas and a courtyard.
