Wow - what a stunner. This pub has been taken over in the last two years I was told but NOT refurbished thankfully. It had an excellent selection of cask ales (I didn’t note them all). My favourite of the night.

12:30 First stop on a pub crawl of Liverpool's Heritage pubs. I told the bar maid we didn't want to drink keg and that we had come to see the interior. She was more than happy for us to wander around and view the pub, she even opened up the function room for us.

The pub is found in Liverpool, Merseyside, L1 1JQ.

In Lime Street, a stunning Grade II listed interior designed by the same architect as the Philharmonic. Three drinking rooms all with a wealth of features and a function room with stained glass cupola. Sadly no real ale then. Temporarily closed for refurbishment - opened March 2023, now with real ale.

We have visited this pub twice, seen 7 different beers and tried 1 of them.
