Busy in the early evening. I amused myself trying to work out which of the furnishings are original and which are new – mostly the latter I think.

The pub is found in Fitzrovia, Central London, W1W 8QE.

A street corner pub in Great Portland Street formerly Cock Tavern), that was present by 1869 and rebuilt in its present form in 1896. Both the interior and exterior have been restored authentically by Sam Smith's. Huge lanterns adorn the outside, whilst the interior has been divided into three partitioned sections, with wood-panelling, cut glass, an ornate ceiling, snob-screens and a tiled floor. There is a first floor restaurant. The pub is just a couple of minutes’ walk from Oxford Circus tube station.

We have visited this pub twice, seen 1 beer and tried it.
