18:00 Having been a regular York drinker for over thirty years I smugly thought I had visited every pub within the City Walls. On our way to the Masons Arms we passed this place. Not only had I not visited I didn't even know it existed. Interesting building, a nineteen-sixties rebuild but with ancient wooden beams framing the bar and a canopied alcove over the fireplace. Good basic pub.
