Brief early evening visit. Just a handful of local customers in. I gather that this pub is now operated by the same people as the nearby Nag’s Head.

The pub is found in Reading, Berkshire, RG1 7DS.

An attractive old pub, just off the town centre. Formerly the Bakers Arms, the pub is now named after the Butler family who ran the pub for many years. Very traditional in appearance, the pub has a smallish bar area, with a pool table in an area to the side and old-style outside gents toilets at the rear. Owned by Fuller’s Brewery for several years, it became a freehouse in 2014. There are plans to bring additional rooms back in to use.

We have visited this pub once, seen 5 different beers and tried 1 of them.
