Fairly busy for a Monday night. I had a shortlist today of 119 pubs that are eligible to be voted for in the Potteries section of the GBG. Thought I'd get round a few before my vote goes in at the end of the year. They also have a beer called Gresley Blonde which is brewed in Shropshire. As it has no provenance I won't list it. I've been here before but not for a while.

The pub is found in Alsagers Bank, Staffordshire, ST7 8BQ.

At the top of Alsagers Bank with breathtaking views from the beer garden and the dining rooms. Perfect for enjoying a well-earned pint after a walk in nearby Bateswood or Apedale country parks. The Gresley offers 4 rooms; a newly refurbished bar with slate floors, 200 year oak beams and real fire, and a warm and friendly lounge; the bottom room is home to the monthly folk nights and the dining room where hearty meals are served. The house beer, Gresley Blonde, is brewed by a secret local brewery and the six or seven guest beers can hail from any brewery in the country.

We have visited this pub once, seen 7 different beers and tried 1 of them.
