2nd pub on my GBG voting shortlist. Nice pub, Alton is beautifully quiet at this time of year. Beer range uninspiring but in good order.

The pub is found in Alton, Staffordshire, ST10 4AQ.

Largish, comfortable country pub, with an L-shaped bar area, supplemented by a separate restaurant off to the left, with a beer patio to the rear of the pub; note that this is where the disabled access lies. The two guest beers can come from a mixture of mainstream and micro breweries. There is a handsome fireplace in the bar area, perfect to escape the constant chill of the British summer.

We have visited this pub once, seen 3 different beers and tried 1 of them.
