I like this pub. Lovely low beamed dark wood interior. I sat outside in the sun reading my Isaac Asimov.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Hardys & Hansons (see now and use Greene King for new entries) - Olde Trip (reduced from 4.8%)4.30GoodI really like this bitter and could happily drink it all day.
Greene King - Swing Low4.30AcceptableI guess this is brewed for the Rugby World Cup. Gold, lasting beige head. Hoppy grassy aroma. Sweetish citrus fruits. Good cellarman works here I think as the beers are always in good nick even if they are GK. Bit of peach or rose petal. Malts are a little syrupy in mouth. It’s a little too sweet

I had 15 minutes to kill before my train from Westenhanger station and got talking to the landlord out on the patio. They only took it over a couple of years back, improved the interior and regularly take a couple of guest beers.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Greene King - Hardys & Hansons Olde Trip4.30GoodThis was a really great session bitter. I could easily have necked it all night. It had the right balance and blend of yeast, malt and hops. Some character from the yeast showed through too. And it was in great, great condition. The landlord said it had only just come on.

A rather lovely pub in the small village of Stanford North not far from the M20 junction 9 off Stone Street. White washed exterior with lovely wood, low ceilings, exposed beams and centre fireplace. U shaped bar serves several drinking areas. Nice garden to rear.
