17:15 10th stop. On our itinerary because of the mention of a baronial hall at the rear. The pub itself was built in 1912 and there are signs of a 1930s re-fit but the interior is much altered and distressed in modern parlance. The so-called baronial hall was booked for a private party at 17:30 but the Manageress showed us round. It is a very unusual structure. A clerestory roof with painted beamed supports. Two of the walls have blocked up arches in them. It shows more resemblance to a porte cochere, and the Manageress said that part of the current building had been stables so that would be my conclusion.
