Mid evening and fairly busy we sat in the quieter bar by the entrance, pleasant relaxing atmosphere my first visit here.

16:20 I was surprised to find that I hadn't visited this pub since I started using this site. As noted by Mr Harris this is an excellent back street local and I have enjoyed many visits here over the years but I expect the proximity of the Fat Cat has influenced my choice lately. The comfortable right hand bar was busy but the more sedate left hand room was empty.

Lunchtime visit and we were amongst the first in. I really liked this pub. Just the sort of place I would love to have as a local. The pub cat did not seem happy with us for our choice of seats – we were clearly sitting in cat territory.

This is a proper pub plain and simple. Packed out with customers, staff who know exactly what they're doing and good beer on tap. We were kept entertained by a bloke fresh out of prison telling us about his various stays in prisons across the world.

Got into Norwich at around 9 and this was the first pub we got to. Really busy inside so we grabbed our beers and stood outside. Nice vibrant atmosphere with a good mix of people.

Really good corner pub in a back street, west of the town centre and within walking distance of the Fat Cat. Central bar serves two large rooms. Pool table, old style vinyl single jukebox in one area. People playing bridge. Tables out front for smokers. Excellent buzz about the place.
