Walked past this on the way into town - looked closed apart from a handwritten notice on the door about using the back entrance. Tried it on the way back and was very pleasantly surprised to find a buzzing, sunny terrace and a warm welcome. A proper pub - no food, just mainly locals enjoying their pints. Eclectic decorations- such as shop manikins and odd signs. I liked it, and went back for seconds later in the day.

Busy in the late afternoon. Quite an antidote to the posh pubs in the town centre. Rugby on TV, but nobody appeared to be watching.
