18:15 Birthday drink with my elder son. Very busy tonight. We had to sit upstairs in the tiny attic which requires some contortions to sit down.

17:45 Having been to the end of the pier to watch the sunset, and the thousands of pink footed geese flying in to roost, the walk back to my son's house took us by here so permission was sought and given for he and me to pop in for a couple. Constant turnover of customers whilst we sat there.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Vocation - Chop & Change Chinook Red4.50ExcellentSuperb

18:45 Fairly busy. The chap behind the bar really knew his beer. The noise from the next door bar was rather obtrusive. It was a Northern Soul evening with people of a certain age dancing along to the music. Looking from our vantage point into the Hungry Monk, back-flips and hand-stands were not much in evidence.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Hawkshead - NZPA6.00ExcellentAs the clip states "bursting with the flavour of New Zealand hops"
Big Shed - Battlefield Gold3.80AcceptablePumpclip said fruity blend of old and new world hops. Disappointingly bland.
