We'd gone for a walk in the nearby woods and came here for a drink and a game of cards with Isabel's tiny pack.

Evening after being to the Gulbenkian to see a film. Some diners upstairs according to the "happy birthday" rendition but the bar areas weren't too busy. Nice welcome. Noticed that this pub now has a rather good garden with a sheltered decked area. Being used despite a torrential downpour.

Tried this after the Blean Tavern - Xmas lights outside that must be able to be viewed from space - friendly welcome, busy but not crowded in the bar - but the kitchen couldn't accommodate us for food as they were flat out with their "pie and pint" night. Hungry - but in a nice ambience.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Whitstable - Native Bitter3.70GoodPleasant enough if a bit bland.
Old Dairy (being contract brewed after it closed) - Red Top3.80GoodRich red full bodied ale - very nice.

Sat evening, busy with diners and drinkers. Piped music a little intrusive (and rather sickly sweet it being Valentine's Day). Four hand-pumps, three available with London Pride to go on. Landlord said that as he was fully free of any ties he would be looking to put on local ales soon. The twin log fires were kept well fuelled.

The pub is found in Tyler Hill, Kent, CT2 9NE.

Pub diner with eating on two floors plus bar and drinking area separated by a pair of dual aspect open grate log fires. Leather sofas and chairs, coloured lighting and piped music. A slightly incongruous village store offering to the side of the bar. This pub used to be the Ivy House but has been extensively renovated and extended - rumour has it for a seven figure sum. A rather nice garden with a sheltered decked area. Local CAMRA branch Pub of the Year 2019.

We have visited this pub 6 times, seen 12 different beers and tried 8 of them.
