Evening. Despite staring me in the face opposite the station I walked both left and then right in search. A most imposing baronial looking building.

12:45 Another day riding the railways and this place fitted in well for lunch. Fairly busy with diners and drinkers. Popular with the older generation.

The pub is found in Hayes (SE London), Greater London, BR2 7EA.

Massive building directly opposite Hayes railway station. The surrounding commercial buildings are in 1930s mock-Tudor style but the pub is honey coloured stone and would be far more at home in the Cotswolds. The ground floor is completely modernised and forms an L shape with dining at one end. The upper floor is a function room and live entertainment centre. 5 handpumps.

We have visited this pub twice, seen 8 different beers and tried 2 of them.
