Somehow I have taken my eye off the ball regarding the improvement of this pub. Popped in to check it out, after people kept mentioning it to me, and found the place packed out early evening on a Friday.

A backstreet, mid-terrace pub in Lichfield Street, established in the mid-1860s when the housing in this area was developed. A Grade II-listed building. Quite well-preserved inside with a nice bar back and a selection of drinking areas leading through to a rear garden. Massively renovated in 2014 with the reintroduction of real ale. There are four handpumps on the bar.

We have visited this pub 5 times, seen 11 different beers and tried 5 of them.
