We came here to mark the 200th anniversary of the Battle of Waterloo. Some of our group were delayed so we stayed for a second pint.

Seven of us came to Waterloo to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the battle from which this area of Merseyside gained its name. The main party got here just after 12:00 but two of us were nearly an hour later thanks to the obstacles put in our path by our wonderful railway system. (10 trains used yesterday in total, 7 of which ran late!). We laggards had one pint and then the group moved on.
