Lunchtime. We arrived outside Kings Cross to see hundreds of Santas prpeparing for a 12 bars of Xmas crawl. None in the Lucas when we got there - pretty quiet. Rather limited beer selection.

Greene King - Morland Old Mulled Hen5.00GoodBadged as Morland. I am not usually keen on flavoured ales - but this was not overpowering and provided a pleasant festive taste.

I had never been here before although I have passed it many times, I was quite enjoying it until somebody succeeded in getting them to turn the volume up on the music.

15:30 Success at Reading meant an early arrival at Kings Cross. Mr Harris's recent report reminded me about a pub I hadn't visited since I worked in the are in the 1980s so I thought I would pay a visit. Only one beer as the barman was on his own and couldn't get into the cellar. I had an interesting chat with a chap standing at the bar about his visits to Texas.

Mid-evening for a quick one. Probably my first ever visit here.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Greene King - Churchill IPA4.20GoodAmber-coloured ‘proper IPA’. Good fruity and bitter hop flavours, but taste still dominated by Greene King yeast strain. I’m feeling generous today, so ‘good’ overall.
