16:50 A pub I have passed by many times but never had the opportunity to go in. A gem. An interesting conversation with the Landlord about his beers led to a cellar visit. I was actually spoilt for choice with the beers on offer not a regular occurrence for me. Having noted the previous CAMRA award I hope that the pub goes higher in future years. It certainly deserves to.

A genuine freehouse situated on the A145. Three rooms, bar to the left hand side and two dining rooms to the right. A wealth of exposed beams, unusual internal doors with mitre shaped tops. A number of the beams have carved foxes heads at their ends, some full face, some in profile. The landlord knows his beer and maintains an eclectic range of styles and flavours. Winner of CAMRA's Rural Suffolk POTY 2014. CAMRA Suffolk Pub of the Year 2018.

We have visited this pub once, seen 8 different beers and tried 2 of them.
