Here at 12.00 on the first of the Ratebeer.com Oxford pub crawl. I liked the atmosphere and architecture here.
BeerABVScoreNotes
White Horse - Giant4.30GoodFirst beer of the day, and what a great way to start. Chestnut colour with thin beige head. Decent bitter with nice hop. Some syrupy malt, nutty flavours. Decent bitterness on finish.
White Horse - Oxfordshire Bitter3.70AcceptableDecent grassy little bitter. Nice dryness on the end. Bit of fruit, nice golden session bitter.
Brakspear (at Marston's Wychwood) - Oxford Gold4.00AcceptableGold with lasting beige head. It’s a little fruity, but ultimately a rather dullish ordinary bitter. Bit of yeasty. But not great and just a little bland.
