First visit on the day of the Deal classic car show.
Bank Top - Old Slapper4.20GoodWe liked the name of this beer. £1.70 a half so not that cheap compared to Thanet micros or the £2.50 a pint at the lifeboat beer stall where all beers were donated.

Evening. My first visit and we were lucky to get seats as the place was fast filling up by 6.30pm. One felt crowded out when ordering at the bar and everything was a bit too frenetic for me to feel relaxed.

A group of us met here for a tour of Walmer and Deal pubs, rail replacement buses all the way between Folkestone and Ramsgate meant that I was very glad of a pint. The pub was busy and welcoming, one gentleman took advantage of the offer to purchase fish and chips from the nearby chippy and enjoy them with a pint in the pub.

Summary of Beer Scores

The pub is found in Walmer, Kent, CT14 7NX.

End of terrace (once the Walmer Sub Post Office and latterly a former Solar Energy Equipment) shop conversion in Dover Road. A Micropub, which first opened to the general public on Saturday 23rd January 2016, with perhaps a fuller range of alcoholic products than the usual Micropub. Cask ales are served through an ancient refurbished 4-way cash-register style handpump beer engine. Has free Wifi and often plays recorded music.

We have visited this pub 12 times, seen 37 different beers and tried 17 of them.
