12 Mar 2016 (Stephen Harris)
Late-evening with Robert S, Kevin L and Paul S (and again for breakfast the next morning). Busy, but not as busy as a couple of other big pubs nearby. First stirrings of a Wetherspoon Beer Festival just about visible.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Williams Brothers - Black4.20ExcellentNice black beer – good enough to have a couple. Rich, with chocolate and coffee flavours and nice background hops.
Isle of Skye - Red4.20AcceptableSweetly malty.
Elgood's - Lazy Dog3.90AcceptablePerhaps it was in poor condition, but I found this brown beer to be totally bland.
Sharp's - Doom Bar4.00Not Tried
