Lunchtime visit for a bite to eat, my first pint this month owing to major surgery and medication. Very busy with a wake in addition to normal lunchtime clientele.

A cold, bright Monday so I cycled to Ashford to tick off a couple of new pubs. Only 2 other customers in here, having lunch. Warm but a bit soulless with its corporate style. Looking at other recent entries it seems that the beer choice is limited and pretty static.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Fuller's (part of Asahi Europe) - London Pride4.10AcceptableOh, it’s not like Pride used to be. Not even sure that this pint was like it should be now. The fancy glass boasted “London Pride Outstanding Amber Ale”. The taste said so-so.

Opening time visit for lunch. We sat in a heated marquee and enjoyed a couple of pints with our meal.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Fuller's (part of Asahi Europe) - London Pride4.10ExcellentThe first day of opening for some time so a good time to get beer from a fresh cask.

The first pub pint after lockdown. This pub has got things well organised with a marquee and garden area for drinking. Wet sales only at the moment with food available from Wednesday 8 July.

Pub refurbished since last visit and layout altered similar to when it was The Smith's Arms, but looks more like an IKEA showroom than a pub. My previous visit around 5 years ago produced a pint of vinegar, and they didn't disappoint this time! Used to be a cracking back street pub with spot on beers when run by owners who cared..
BeerABVScoreNotes
Fuller's (part of Asahi Europe) - London Pride4.10PoorBarmaid offered this as a consolation pint, and charged us the difference from the Rocking Rudolph for the privelige. Drinkable, just, but I won't be rushing back for another.
Greene King - Hardys & Hansons Rocking Rudolph (now use 4.2% entry)5.00UndrinkableXmas ale leftover at £2 a pint! Didn't need to taste it to know it was off, replacement offered but no better.
