A nice pub, but I felt a bit conned here, having ordered a beer which I thought was from the local Alfred’s Brewery but realising at first sip that it was a Greene King house beer. To compound the misinformation around the beer, when I enquired I was told that it was a house beer brewed at Hardys & Hanson’s in Nottinghamshire!

The pub is found in Winchester, Hampshire, SO23 7DJ.

A large and comfortable pub in a residential area close to parkland. There is a choice of seating areas, a dining room at a raised level at the rear and a large garden. Accommodation is available. Migrated from Greene King to Little Pub Group sometime 2016/7 (seems to be a linked company) with a major refurbishment around then too.

We have visited this pub once, seen 5 different beers and tried 1 of them.
