Lunchtime and afternoon visits prior to and just after a visit to the nearby Burning Sky Brewery, I had not been here before and I was impressed with the place and service. Very busy today with diners and visitors to the nearby Glynde music festival. I stayed one hour longer than intended when I discovered that my planned train home had been cancelled.

Very busy on a mild late October Saturday lunchtime. They were busily preparing for the annual Bonfire Celebrations, so there was much dashing around of hi vis jackets. We were in the area on an abortive mission to buy a teapot. No Burning Sky beers on today, unfortunately.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Harvey's - Bonfire Boy5.80ExcellentRich roast malt, a bit of woodsmoke. Mellow, perhaps too mellow for lunchtime.
Hurst - Keeper's Gold4.40GoodWell rounded Golden Ale:the malt given scope to complement the nettley hops.
