I was travelling with a friend on the tram from Bury to Manchester when he announced that he needed a pee, this was my excuse to alight at Besses o' th' Barn and visit this excellent Holts house. It has changed a little bit since I first came here, notably the bell pushes have disappeared along with the waiters, a great shame as the waiter service was my main reason for first coming here many years ago.
