After work drinks with colleagues. Not my choice of pub. Actually, I have not been in here for quite a few years – it is a much smarter place than I remember.

A street corner pub with a single ground floor bar, present here since at least the 1830s. Traditionally it was a Charrington’s house, now owned by Shepherd Neame. The pub has a mostly office worker trade and closes on Sundays. Closed until autumn 2024 for a major refurbishment.
