The new landlord has put on a beer festival. This used to be infamous for it's lack of decent beer so this is a pleasant surprise. Shame about the weather but there was still a few hardened drinkers here.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Acorn - Old Moor Porter4.40ExcellentVery dark with a lovely roasted malt and liquorice flavour. Little thin maybe, but still a fantastic beer.
Dark Star - Original5.00ExcellentThis was in great condition. Very dark with plenty of caramel and chocolate. Lovely.
Ramsgate Brewery (Gadds') - No. 54.40GoodBrown ale with plenty of malt. Quite nice, but not the most exciting of the Gadds' range.
Oakham - Bishops Farewell4.60GoodI expected a dark beer for some reason. This was good though. Very hoppy with a little citrus.
Ramsgate Brewery (Gadds') - Seasider4.30Not Tried
