Lunchtime cycle meet. 8 of us - only about 5 other customers in 2 hours. Very pleasant staff. Shame the beer is now £5 a pint.

Lunchtime visit with our cycling group to commemorate the passing of a local cyclist two years ago (aged 93 and was still cycling). Good turnout on a warm, sunny day and a bonus - live jazz music in the marquee. Excellent session.

Late lunchtime- took a short break from the “Hair” to check this out. Busy, warm and jolly - with a saxophonist getting ready to perform. Nice - but more than £1 a pint difference from across the road.
