I meet a friend here in the early evening when we realised that our paths would cross at Vauxhall on the way home from watching (different) football matches. It turns out to be uncomfortably busy.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Alvinne - Cuvée Freddy Bosbes-Blueberry8.00ExcellentKeg beer from an old favourite brewery. Tart. Masses of blueberry flavour.
The Bruery - Mash & Coconut13.00GoodAn expensive US import. It is a Barley Wine flavoured with coconut.
13 Aug 2017 (Stephen Harris)
Here for a drink after an afternoon watching cricket at the Oval. The place is not busy, and almost all customers are sitting outside at the back, beside the Vauxhall Pleasure Gardens.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Pressure Drop - OCP: Orange Cardamom Porter .5.70ExcellentPressure Drop’s new brewery at Tottenham is now on-stream. This is a very tasty, black Porter with lots of flavours going on.
Verdant - Some Fifty Summers4.60ExcellentA murky-gold IPA. Super fruity.
Siren Craft - Pompelmocello6.00ExcellentCrikey this is grapefruity.
27 Jul 2017 (Stephen Harris)
A busy after-work trade in here (presumably mostly Spooks from the MI6 offices across the road), supplemented by people like me who have been at the Test Match at the Oval all day.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Northern Monk - Neapolitan Pale Ale6.20ExcellentA hazy golden colour. Quite well carbonated. An oddity. It looks like a beer, but tastes like an ice cream.
Lines - Nelson Saison5.90ExcellentOld gold in colour. A tart, farmhouse Saison, well-hopped with Nelson Sauvin hops.

The pub is found in Kennington, Greater London, SE1 7TP.

A large new bar opened in July 2017, occupying a wide railway arch across the full breadth of the main line into Waterloo. In similar style to Mother Kelly’s original bar in Bethnal Green, although with perhaps more emphasis on tap beers and less of a bottle shop. There is a sizeable inside seating area, and outdoor areas at both ends of the bar.

We have visited this pub 3 times, seen 7 different beers and tried them all.
